Identifying a person in a dense list, next to their name.

Reach for something else when
As the only identifier. Two colleagues can share initials; always pair it with the name.
Large sizes for decoration. This is a wayfinding aid, not a portrait.
The image is decorative — alt="" — because the name is already in the row beside it. Announcing it twice is noise.
